Most of our postgraduate courses listed at Postgraduate study have entry requirements of either a first- or upper-second class undergraduate honours degree or a first- or second class undergraduate honours degree. For each of these two entry requirements, we list equivalent overseas qualifications, accessible via the colour boxes below. Note that the requirement for the MSc in Financial Risk and Investment Analysis is the equivalent of a first class UK undergraduate honours degree and that international applicants will therefore need an overall grade considerably higher than the levels listed in the table from the box on the left below. Please note that the lists qualifications are only a guide and, as each application is treated individually, offers may vary for different applicants. Please also note that where the admissions requirements for a course contain a specific subject requirement (for example, the need for undergraduate studies in physics to be able to study for the MSc in Physics), you will still need to meet this specific subject requirement regardless of what qualification you have taken. There may be some research degrees for which the course entry at Postgraduate study states that a Masters degree is required. Masters degrees in the UK normally last one year and are taken after completion of an undergraduate honours degree. Where this is listed as a requirement, you may need to have additional experience or qualifications to those listed below. Admissions tutors take into account factors in addition to academic qualifications, and attainment of the qualifications below does not guarantee admission.
